It's Raining, It's Pouring...

"When it rains, it pours." Literally.

Work up at 4 am this morning to a loud noise and 2 inches of water covering my upstairs. A pipe broke in our bathroom and flooded my house. I found where it was coming from and shut the water off asap, but it was not soon enough. We got most of the water soaked up and had to wait for the disaster crew to show up.

As soon as the got to the house I knew it was much worse than I had thought. We can't stay there for 4 or 5 weeks now and I had to watch as the guys pulled up all the carpet, baseboards and tile that I spent months putting together to get that house as cute as it was. So, now im back in Eagle at my parents feeling like I am in highschool again or something.
SO THANKFUL FOR INSURANCE!

Even though this sucks and I was very upset earlier, I need to look at this in a positive way. We are out of the house for about a month while everything gets fixed, but I also do not have to pay grocieries or bills or rent. I actually can hire my dad for the fixing up of everything that had to be ripped out so he may even make some money off of this. We will get all new carpet and whatever else (even though it was basically new before). And I know this all happened for some reason I am just not sure of it yet. Oh the joys of being a homeowner.

Until then I will just be hanging around my parents enjoying being taken care of a little bit. Do not understand why this had to happen to me but I guess we will just see. I guess it definately could have been worse.

Lazy Day

So I'm back from my cabin and all I've done today is unpack and play with Tucker my puppy. Even though the stress of not having a job is really bugging me it has been really nice not having to worry about going to work or school. I'm loving it!!! Especially because it has been raining all day and all I ever want to do on rainy days is lay around. Rain+hotchocolate+cable= an amzing day!

Now Jennie and I are going to go rent Easy A which I have been waiting forever to see! And my lazy day continues! Peace!

The Real World

Today I have to head back to "real life" and come home from my cabin. Not too excited, up here is sort of like a dream perfect world. It was nice to at least have a little break though I must say.

Last week the owners of my work informed me that they were going bankrupt and could no longer afford to keep our resturant open. I have worked there for 2 and a half years so this was quite a shock. They told all of the employes that the resturant would be closed for a week and that two people from corporate were moving here to keep the place running. We are all welcome to reapply and have an interview, if the new owners like us we will be invited back for a second interview. This is really stressing me out even though I have worked their since they opened the place. So today I have to head back from my cabin and reapply to the same job I have had for the last 2 years. Kind of makes me mad. I guess if they don't hire me I can at least get unemployment. asfjajsflahksfj;as I would rather just have a job though.

Anyway obviously I am not looking forward to it and I do not accept change very well lol. Hopefully it will all just be for the better though. I am excited to head back and see my friends and boyfriend though.... 5 days is kind of a long time without them to be honest.

Have any of you ever heard of "the cloud"? Probably not since it is pretty new technology. It is basically a hard drive over the internet you just go to www.me.com and can access all of your information documents, pictures, videos, email, basically everything from where ever you are as long as you have internet access. If you are not at home or around your computer... lets say like at school and you need to print a paper you forgot was due, you can just hop onto me.com and pull up the document and print it on any other computer. The only thing is you have to purchase an annual membership.

I just literally learned about this yesterday on Christmas because my lovely amazing parents bought my sisters an I all new 11 inch Macbook Airs which are AWESOME! The only problem is that their memory is a flash drive and does not hold very much information. So along with the new computers, they bought us all memberships to me.com! So we can just upload all of the information we want to keep onto the cloud. This is even BETTER for me because I already had a white macbook so I can now upload all of my information from my old computer onto the cloud and access it from my new computer!

I just thought I would share this fun new technology with everyone because eventually I think this will be used by millions as our computers and electronics get smaller and more compact. Kind of exciting actually.

Hello :]

Hi, my name is Kylee Transtrum I am not sure why I am starting a blog other than I like to write and I feel that it is a great way to get some of my thought out into the world. I am also kind of bored up at my cabin in Donelly Idaho and got a new Macbook Air for Christmas which I love and have been playing on all day... which is now becoming the start of a blog. I almost need to write things down just so my head isn't going a million miles an hour. Also I think it will be a great new hobby rather than watching tv or laying around and being completely useless when I am not at work or school. Okay enough with blabbing here is a little bit about myself....
This is my family:

I am 19 years old but a junior already at Boise State University... I have three semesters left. I bought my own house a block away from BSU and yes got the tax credit for being a first time home buyer. I did have a lot of help from my parents though and now am in a big debt to them... but it is totally worth it. I live with two other girls Dani and Jennie, we are very tidy and walk to school everyday (or if it is cold outside we drop eachother off lol). Jennie and I bought a puppy together his name is Tucker >>>>>>>>>>>>> this is him
He may look cute and sweet here but I swear sometimes I think he has the devil in him. Oh well he is way too much fun and we are working really hard to "crack the whip" and train him so he is not such a brat.

I'm not sure why, maybe because I'm the oldest or didn't really enjoy highschool, but I am always trying to get a head and am in a rush to grow up. I think that EVERYTHING happens for a reason and I know that I am getting through school so quickly because there is a great opportunity waiting somewhere out there for me.

I know this is nerdy but this is almost reminding me of when I was young and tried to write my thoughts and feelings in a journal and I would do it for about a month and then give up and I really hope that I do not do quit on this. I am not saying that I am going to post everyday but I will try and update it often. For the new year I am going to try and come up with some goals for the next year (oh how original I know) but seriously I really think this blog with help me carry those through.

Okay well I really hope this isn't too boring but I need it more for myself and I really am not writting it for anyone else besides myself.... so there! Until next time :] Kylee
